I am starting a new series of posts titled: small town adventures. It has been an adjustment going from Kansas City (roughly 450,000 population) to rural Kansas (roughly 500 population)...and yes you just read that right. Now, it isn't a far stretch, I grew up in a town of about 2,800 people...but it is still a big difference. Some questions that I have received from family and friends:
Where is this town?
What is there to do?
How long will it take me to get there?
How did Brad talk you into this?
Where is this town?
Is there a grocery store?
Are you happy?
Where is this town?
That has been the just of it so far. And yes, there is a grocery store - and a cafe, a bar, a post office, 2 gas stations, a bank and a city hall. There are some small shops too, but I have yet to venture to them yet. The reason we moved was because he took on a new job and we have yet to regret his decision. The truth is, I love our house and our life right now and this crazy little town. And I am the happiest that I have been in a long, long time.
So keep checking back for my new series of posts, small town adventures.
