In much need of art...

My studio is starting to come together. I want to get a few more things done in there before I show you the before and after pictures. I have one wall that I am wanting to fill with art. Above is a few of my choices so far. Send me some more good links to art (posters, prints, photographs, letterpress, etc.) I prefer to buy from etsy artists, but am not limited to that.

Headboard love

I've searched all over for good shots of Serena's headboard on Gossip Girl and I finally found some good ones! I'm obsessed with her headboard and really want to make one of my own!

The Sunset Lake Tahoe Idea House located in California is breathtaking. The whole house is beautiful, but I think it is all the little details that make it so great.

I have been an admirer of Angela Adams for quite some time now. Her textile work is breathtaking - every piece looks like a work of art. See some of her newest collections here.

Weekend Wrap-up

The Paws & Claus craft show was a really great learning experience for me. I think that I was well prepared and that my booth was simple, yet still functional and represented my product well.

In the morning there was a steady stream of people, but in the afternoon the place really slowed down. I still feel really great about the overall experience because (1) the money I paid for the booth was put toward the Animal Shelter and (2) I met a lot of sweet people and made some good connections.

Like the girls that are dirty laundry and fresh sodapop. They were both really nice and offered lots of words of wisdom since they are old-pros of the KC craft scene.

Sunday, Brad and I slept in LATE. Laid around watching tv shows and doing crosswords. Went to Chipotle, rented a couple of movies, bought some dog food and did a lot of nothing. It was great.

1 Year Blog Anniversary!

I totally goofed and missed my blog anniversary last week. 1 year and almost 400 posts later...who knew I had so much to say? I enjoy the blog community so much and am so thankful for all the lovely people and blogs that I have met in just 12 months.

I'm back!

Hello everyone! I took a little mini vacay last week and stayed at my mom's house. I really needed a blog break and even a life break, so it was nice to escape back to a small town. We baked cookies, made soups, watched movies, a lunch date with the girls (grandma, aunt and mom), dinner date with grandpa, went to football games, played with the dog. Time really does slow down there - it felt like I was gone for much longer than a week! But I am glad to be back and I missed you all very much! I have lots of exciting things planned for this week so stay tuned.

Here is Brad's younger brother #30. Saturday was his last football game of the season. (He is playing college ball.) We stuck it out for most of the game but it was terribly cold.

And these pictures are from a recent road trip that Brad and I took. We were traveling down winding rock roads and found these two great places. We could see in the bottom one and the it was filled with all sorts of things. We wanted to go check it out but there were no trespassing signs everywhere.
